Envelopes From Mrs. Birt's Children

Information courtesy of J. Colclough nee Dixon & M. Baldwin.

The following information is taken from envelopes (no letters). They came into the hands of a stamp collector in England. The collector is extracting the information and notes, which were sometimes written on the envelopes. As far as we know, all of these children came to Canada with Mrs. Birt. Any note contained inside square brackets is extracted from the National Archives database. It is interesting that many of these letters were written in the winter. Mrs. Birt sent out a little note to the children in 1892 asking them to please write something of their summer activities as everyone back home would think that there were only winter activities in Canada. This is a work in progress.

If you know any of the children in this list please contact me.
